Automobile and engineering plants require tightly controlled oil quality for critical processes — particularly component test rigs and end-of-line testing systems, as well as other centralised oil systems.
These applications require filtration engineered around specific flow rates, operating cycles and NAS/ISO quality requirements, with the complete system designed to deliver and maintain the required result.
VATS offers Fluent TOTAL here: an integrated skid complete with dirty and clean oil tanks and multiple filter housings. Each system is engineered to the application and is measured on the NAS quality it achieves and maintains. The press shop operates a number of hydraulic presses, each with its own hydraulic oil reservoir to be maintained at a specified NAS level.

Component test rig
Component workshops for hydraulic valves, cylinders and pumps, together with sub-assemblies such as transmissions and hydraulic lifts, operate their own test rigs. These carry their own oil reservoirs, in some cases a centralised tank, which must be cleaned and maintained at the necessary NAS level.

End-of-line testing
Even after individual component and sub-assembly rig purification, contamination enters during final assembly through hoses, tanks and control equipment. End-of-line flushing to the specified NAS level, online or offline, reduces warranty claims to near zero.
