Mining & Construction
The largest user of mobile, critical hydraulic systems — with tanks from 200 to 3000 Liter on equipment that cannot come indoors.
The problem in this sector
What makes mining & construction
different.
The defining challenge
Mining and construction is perhaps the largest user of mobile and critical hydraulic systems, for earth moving and handling equipment. These huge machines have sizeable hydraulic oil tanks, from 200 to 3000 L each, and it was never thought possible to maintain oil cleanliness during operation. That meant a very large expense on frequent oil replacement.
VATS solves the problem with Fluent SENTINA, which can be easily fitted onto each piece of equipment, directly into the main oil system. The OCF filter guarantees NAS levels maintained 24×7. Comprehensive IOTA contracts are available where you can leave complete oil quality management and monitoring to VATS.
Where the oil
is at work.
Select a point to see what the application involves and which machine is applied. These are the locations in a mining & construction operation where oil quality determines whether the equipment reaches its next overhaul.
Point of application
Mining
All heavy mobile equipment — large mining trucks, dozers, hydraulic mining shovels and large wheel loaders — operates on hydraulic and transmission oils that must be maintained at the necessary NAS level.
Point of application
Construction
Excavators, backhoe loaders, loaders, cranes, transit mixers and concrete pumps all operate on hydraulic and transmission oils requiring maintenance at the necessary NAS level.
Point of application
Central workshop
The central workshop at the mine or site typically employs a stationary purification system for the recovery of partially used oil.
