Current Scenario

After assembly of transmission / gearbox generally it is tested for actual performance with oil. All the dust, grease, sealant, moisture, carbon/ graphite, etc. Gets mixed in the oil. This oil gets is re used for subsequent test applications resulting into gradually increment in contamination.

At some point of time oil is so much contaminated that it is not wise to use this dirty oil. And eventually it calls for replacement of oil.

Resultant of current practice (Problem / Issue)

After testing oil is drained. Some oil is left out in the system (residual Oil) say 500 ml to 3 lit which is approximately 3 to 10% of required oil. This residual oil is retained in the gearbox, transmission, valve, etc. and is responsible for contaminating first fill oil during final assembly.
And finally resulting in (a) Reduction in performance (b) component failure, during Warrantee Period.
