Why & What is G2D Filters
Background of Development:
Hydraulic operation is the HEART of the equipment. If hydraulic system performance is up to the mark equipment performance on its full capacity which increases the efficiency of work.
In Standard hydraulic system pressure pump is used to run all hydraulic operation movement with variety of control valves for accuracy.
A typical hydraulic system uses hydraulic Oil as a fluid for operation. General practice for hydraulic is to provide return line filter 10 micron to 20 micron. With this standard operation Oil is replaced between 500 to 5000 hr depending on equipment’s duty condition. And the filter changed between 2000 to 1000 Hr of operation.
Barrel fresh oil is used to ‘refill’ during maintenance scheduled. If oil is replaced in workshop it could be NAS 10 to NAS 12 during refilling. If it is done on field with site condition it could be> NAS 14.
Effect Of Present System:
During Service, Oil and Return line filter is changed, In which presently the> NAS 12 Oil is change from the tank and Barrel Fresh Oil of NAS 10 is filled but the fact is 1/4th of the Oil of NAS 12 remains in the Line by the Houses and Pump and 3/4th of the Oil get Changed.
When this 3/4th of the Oil mixes with 1/4th of the oil it changes form NAS 10 to >NAS 12 and the same process continues.
When the Service is done the balance NAS 12 Oil mixes with the NAS 10 Oil and the level of the dirt (Black Oil) get mixes with the fresh oil and the total oil becomes Black after the first service. This Black Oil is nothing but the increase of the Contamination in tank which converts the contamination level and overall converts the Oil in Hydraulic Failure in which the Company has to bear the charges of the Failure Parts and the Early filter Choking. This Increases the cost in Breakdown Period and Less Profit.
A Possibility (Solution):
A key solution for all above Service issue is to maintain OIL QUALITY to desired NAS and to maintain this NAS during Working period.
